After you install
Setup takes about two minutes on a typical billing PC.
- 1Download the installer for your operating system.
- 2Run the installer and follow the prompts
- 3Open Tech Byte POS from the desktop or Start Menu — it loads your live workspace.
- 4Sign in with the your email and password .
Prefer the browser?
Install as a web app
Open Billing (POS) in Chrome or Edge, then use the browser menu → Install app (or Add to Dock on Mac). You get a desktop icon without downloading an installer.

Common questions
Do I need a separate account?
No. The desktop app is the same Tech Byte POS you use in the browser. Sign in once and your menu, sales, and settings sync automatically.
Does it work offline?
Pro and Enterprise plans include offline order queuing on the billing screen. The desktop app uses the same online/offline behaviour as the browser.
Will updates install automatically?
Product updates ship through the website — refresh or reopen the app to get the latest POS and dashboard. Installer updates are occasional and posted here when the desktop shell changes.
